Backup settings of UWP applications on Windows 10 devices with CloneApp UAArrow up
If DEP is turned on for all programs, it can cause issues with certain programs.
DEP will sometimes shut down a program or process without any notification if it violates DEP.
You can turn off Data Execution Prevention for a particular program in Windows by following the steps below.
1. Go to Start > Control Panel > System.
2. Go to the Advanced tab and access the Performance Settings.
3. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab.
4. Now select the option "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"
In this case, set a exception for CloneApp.
A reboot will be required to implement the change.
Note that you can turn off DEP globally for the entire system, but it’s not recommended as it makes your computer less secure.

Reducing it to Recommended Settings allowed CloneApp to run.
